Verdict

Copper Knight has won this twice in the past but finished down the field last year behind fourth-placed Alligator Alley. The latter beat Bedford Flyer on the all-weather at the end of last year while several of these will be sharper for recent comeback runs including Whenthedealinsdone. The latter won at Ascot in September while Korker finished runner-up at Haydock when last seen in a handicap. Designer also returns to handicapping with a shout having run well in Listed company at Bath on her reappearance but ILLUSIONIST was winning over track and trip at this time last year and a recent third in this grade at Ripon suggests he can go close.
