Verdict

Swiftsure was second on soft going on his debut last year but disappointed subsequently and looks to have his fair share of weight on his handicap debut. Investigation only had two rivals at Yarmouth but Lord Commander has to go on the short-list as he’s been edging closer to a first victory. Bedouin was staying on over 1m2f at Nottingham so should appreciate the extra, though has been raised 3lb. ALQAMAR was beaten at odds-on on his final start at Redcar last year but still finished well ahead of Taxmeifyoucan. Conditions won’t be a problem and he’s fitted with cheekpieces on his first try over 1m4f. Brimham Rocks won a small race at Wolverhampton earlier this month but had shown little on Turf previously.
