Verdict
LOVE is the stand-out filly of her age group having already won the 1000 Guineas and the Oaks. It’s a pity that last year’s winner Enable has swerved a confrontation as it means the Ballydoyle three-year-old will be a short-priced favourite in this as she beat Frankly Darling almost 10 lengths at Epsom. Franconia landed the odds in a Listed race here last month but a line through the second gives her a mountain to climb against the favourite. Manuela De Vega could be more interesting for forecast-backers if the rains arrive as she’s a tough filly who has won both starts this year. One Voice was only beaten a neck in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood having met interference in a Group 2 at the Curragh previously and she is worth a try over this longer trip.
