Dawaam was far too keen when behind Good Birthday and Harrovian at Doncaster and Dane O’Neill prefers the impressive Goodwood winner Qaader, even though Aerion Power should get much closer to Mark Johnston’s colt on more favourable terms. Migration was another easy Goodwood winner and is just as effective on this quicker surface. He needs to arrive late on the scene but will be suited by the Knavesmire’s wide-open spaces and an 8lb rise looks manageable. Cockalorum was only third at Goodwood but did finish ahead of Strait Of Hormuz, Dawaam and Fishable in the John Smith’s Cup here six weeks ago with Lucander even further behind. WAHRAAN is a progressive three-year-old probably still on a decent mark and he can complete the hat-trick granted luck in-running.
