Verdict
A terrific renewal of the feature race with last year’s winner ELARQAM (NAP) back for more. Below his best upped to 1m4f at Ascot last time, Mark Johnston’s charge was narrowly beaten by subsequent Group 1 winner Lord North at Haydock in June and finished in front of Regal Reality, Lord Glitters and King Of Comedy when third in last year’s Juddmonte International over track and trip. The latter attempts today’s distance for the first time since but is less than straightforward while Telecaster has something to find with the selection on last month’s running at Haydock. Aspetar’s best efforts so far have been over 1m4f including last year’s victory in a Group 1 in Germany and Listed winner Fox Chairman has no easy task on these terms.
