Verdict

NOSTRUM failed to land the odds on the soft ground at Goodwood but gets another chance back on faster going with this extra furlong also likely to suit. Royal Hunt Cup winner Jimi Hendrix faced a more difficult task back at Ascot for the Summer Mile last time while El Drama went close over a longer trip at Haydock on his first start for a new yard but hasn’t won since 2021. The latter’s stablemate Flight Plan has more to find on these terms while Chichester is a Listed winner here and Spirit Dancer won a handicap at the track last month.
