        Verdict

        Flying Pursuit bids to win this for the third time in succession having beaten Golden Apollo a neck last year with Growl back in fourth. But all three of the above finished behind GULLIVER when the latter scored over track and trip last month with a bit in hand and another bold bid is expected here. David O’Meara’s charge is preferred to stable companions Tomily and Muscika, who are both upped in class, while Listed winner Encrypted is 10lb higher than when last successful in a handicap. Staxton’s earlier win came on the all-weather and he’ll find today’s going fast enough and the same comment applies to Camacho Chief, who scored in soft going over the minimum trip at Doncaster recently. Savalas hinted at a return to form last time but has done all his winning so far over 5f.
