    Verdict

Mark Johnston won this last year and Tawakkol will be fancied to go one better after an improved effort in the first 6f race for two-year-olds at the Dante meeting. His experience could pay dividends and he looks better at this stage than stablemate Champagne City, whose pedigree suggests he'll need further. Another Touch ran really well in that race here and with further progress guaranteed he can reverse the form with the runner-up. AGE OF EMPIRE will have come on a bundle for his opening run at Newmarket and the extra furlong will be in his favour so he looks the one to be on. Aleef is out of a mare from a smart middle-distance family so he's another who should do better in time.
