Golden Boot looks the obvious choice in this amateur riders handicap, Jake Black and Wild Pitch could be the ones to chase him home. Alan Bailey's six-year-old has been steadily improving this season and gained a deserved victory at Chester last time. The style of victory was most impressive as he had to come from last to first on that tricky circuit. There should be plenty more to come and he is a confident choice. Jake Black hit winning form at Pontefract last time over the ten furlong trip. He doesn't appear as good over this longer distance but should still be capable of making the frame. Wild Pitch has strong claims on his victory in a similar race at Newmarket back in July, but as with Jake Black you have to be slightly concerned about today's trip. Of the others Cripsey Brook has claims on the pick of his form, but Golden Boot has more potential than most of these and is expected to land the bubbly.
