Castleford winger Richard Owen could make his comeback after over a year out with a broken leg when the Tigers face Castleford at the PROBIZ Coliseum on Sunday.
The 20-year-old, who suffered the injury in the early stages of last season, is included in Terry Matterson's 19-man squad after three appearances for the under 20s.
Hooker Ryan Hudson also returns after recovering from a shoulder problem he picked up in February, while Steve Snitch and Oliver Holmes drop out of the squad.
Nick Youngquest is set to face his former club and close-season signing Willie Isa is poised to make his home debut.
Last year's fixture was marred by homophobic chanting directed at Crusaders' Gareth Thomas, but Castleford are confident there will be no repeat of that behaviour.
Progress
"We've invited the RFL's equality and diversity officer as guest of honour for Sunday's game and we are very proud of the fantastic progress made in introducing new initiatives, some of which are firsts for rugby league and sport in general," Tigers chief executive Richard Wright said.
"We know that it was a small number of mindless fools that let the club, the town and the sport of rugby league down last year and we have taken steps to deal with these.
"Anybody found guilty of homophobic abuse has, and will be, banned from games indefinitely. Sunday is an opportunity for the fans to make a statement that Castleford Tigers are not a homophobic club."
Crusaders are set to hand a debut to utility back Jordan Tansey in place of winger Rhys Williams, who has been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Warrington.
Tansey was snapped up by the Welsh club after being sacked by Hull for a breach of discipline.
Adam Peek and Paul Johnson have resumed training but are not yet ready to play, and while Rhys Hanbury, Frank Winterstein and new signing Hep Cahill have now received visa clearance, they will not arrive in time for the fixture.
Castleford squad: Mathers, Dixon, Youngquest, Arundel, Owen, Chase, Orr, Jackson, Hudson, Huby, Emmitt, Ferres, Jones, Milner, Isa, Fozzard, Aspinwall, Widders, Clark.
Crusaders squad: Schifcofske, Thomas, Martin, Mellars, Reardon, Witt, Sammut, O'Hara, Withers, Bryant, Chan, Flower, Dudson, White, Moore, L. Williams, Lupton, Murphy, Tansey.
