Castleford have made two changes to their squad for the crunch Super League clash with Hull FC at the PROBIZ Coliseum on Saturday.
Centre Joe Arundel and prop Nick Fozzard both return, with the latter set to make his first appearance since early July after recovering from a calf injury.
The pair replace Jordan Thompson and John Davies in Terry Matterson's 19-man squad for a contest that has major play-off implications.
Castleford can secure their spot in the top eight with a victory while a win for in-form Hull will virtually assure them a place in the post-season.
The Black and Whites are one point behind the Tigers but have a far superior points difference and the one team currently outside the top eight that can still make the play-offs, Hull KR, have to play Castleford on the last weekend of the regular season.
Outgoing Tigers coach Matterson is looking to do more than merely qualify for the play-offs and has set his sights on overhauling Leeds in sixth place and securing a home clash in the first round.
Wide open
"It's all to play for," said Matterson, who will be replaced by Ian Millward at the end of the season.
"It's in our hands, we can finish anywhere from sixth to ninth. I'm hoping Leeds can slip up and we get a home semi-final.
"Their last game is at Huddersfield, which is not an easy place to go. It could be my last home game, it's not something I've thought a really thought about.
"We're trying to get another home game in the semi-final. I'm sure after the game I will reflect on my time here. I'm really going to miss it. I'll never forget the atmosphere down here, it's a great place."
Hull are boosted by the return of top try-scorer Kirk Yeaman after the centre was absent from the victory over Crusaders last time out due to suspension.
Yeaman returns at the expense of winger Reece Lyne in the only change as the visitors look to all but confirm their place in the play-offs ahead of a hazardous end-of-season clash with high-flying Warrington.
The Airlie Birds will go into the clash in fine shape after scoring a total of 98 points in their last two matches, including a 58-18 thrashing of Crusaders last time out.
Castleford squad: Mathers, Youngquest, Arundel, Owen, Chase, Orr, Hudson, Snitch, Jones, Milner, Isa, Fozzard, Aspinwall, Massey, McGoldrick, Holmes, Widders, Parker, B. Davies.
Hull FC squad: Briscoe, Dowes, Fitzgibbon, Horne, Houghton, Lauaki, Manu, Moa, Obst , O'Meley, Phelps, Radford, Sharp, Tickle, Turner, Washbrook, Westerman, Whiting, Yeaman.
