Castleford coach Terry Matterson has named Oliver Holmes and Steve Snitch in his 19-man squad to face Salford at the Jungle on Sunday.
Holmes, 19, played in the Tigers' first five matches before being rested for the wins over Crusaders and Hull FC, while Snitch has not played since the opening day of the season.
One or other of the back-row forwards will replace Stuart Jones, who has a shoulder injury, while Brett Ferres is set to switch from loose forward to centre to offset the loss through suspension of Willie Isa.
Of the decision to leave out Jones, Matterson told the club's website: "Stuart isn't 100% and there is no need to play him when we have guys like Holmes and Snitch fit and ready in the 20's.
"He should be right for next week."
Nick Youngquest is also set to return after missing the win at Hull with a quad injury.
Salford are without former Wakefield centre Sean Gleeson, who aggravated an ankle injury in last week's defeat by Crusaders.
With Ashley Gibson still sidelined, Stefan Ratchford continues in the three-quarter line.
Ex-Wigan prop Iafeta Paleaaesina returns from a three-match absence with a calf injury.
Castleford 19-man squad: Mathers, Dixon, Youngquest, Arundel, Owen, Chase, Orr, Jackson, Hudson, Huby, Emmitt, Snitch, Ferres, Milner, Fozzard, Aspinwall, Holmes, Widders, Clark.
Salford 19-man squad: Patten, Broughton, Henry, Nero, Anderson, Ratchford, Holdsworth, Cashmere, Godwin, Boyle, Neal, L. Adamson, Wild, Smith, Sneyd, Jewitt, Sidlow, Paleaaesina, Spencer.
