Dragons v Reds: Teams

Salford City Reds acting head coach Steve Simms has already confirmed that he will name an unchanged line-up for the clash against Catalan Dragons.

The Reds make the trip to Perpignan for the contest on Saturday on the back of a 34-18 victory over Hull KR last time out - their second win of the season.

Ray Cashmere is available again after suspension and is included in the 19-man squad, but the Australian will start on the bench. Fellow prop Lee Jewitt is also included while youngsters Callum Marriot and Alex Davidson drop out.

After the much-improved showing against Hull KR, Simms is hoping the stability with selection can lead to another good performance.

"They went really well last week. The trick is to do it again the week after. That's what teams seem to struggle with," he said.

Great position

"We're in the great position this week of being able to start the same team in France.

"Most of the time this season we haven't even been able to start the same front row, never mind side but the same 13 that started last week will start again. I don't know how you could change the team after the performance like that.

"The two young kids Alex and Callum, who came in at the last minute and did so well can now drop back into their Academy sides as we now have Ray Cashmere, Ashley Gibson and Jack Spencer all available, but Ray and co will start on the bench."

Catalan coach Trent Robinson has made only one change to his 19-man squad for the contest, with Frederic Vaccari being replaced by Cyrille Gossard.

The Dragons are still dealing with the absences of injured duo Thomas Bosc and Vincent Duport, while Lopini Paea is out with an ankle problem.
