Huddersfield will have to cope without prop Keith Mason and centre Joe Wardle when they face Hull KR at the Galpharm Stadium on Saturday.
Mason injured his knee in last weekend's Challenge Cup final defeat to Castleford while Wardle picked up a hamstring problem during the same contest. Both players could be sidelined for up to six weeks.
Forward Andy Raleigh has been called up to the Giants' 19-man squad in the absence of Mason and could make his first appearance in over a month.
Graeme Horne is also brought back into the squad by head coach Nathan Brown after spending three weeks out of the first-team picture.
Young forward Jacob Fairbank could make his Super League debut; he has been named in the squad after impressing during a spell at Halifax.
Huddersfield will be playing at the Galpharm Stadium for the first time in two months and Brown is keen to end a poor run of form that has seen them lose four games out of five in all competitions.
Form
"We have been a little bit down on form lately, but the good thing is that we have done the right things in the past and we know what is required," he told the club's official website.
"We have had some good sessions this week and spoken about a number of key things which were based around attitude, effort and your role within the team.
"We want to get back to doing the things we do really well and the things we can control, as well as some little improvements in some key areas.
"If we can do that then I'm sure we can start to rebuild our game again."
Hull KR will be without full-back Shaun Briscoe and winger Liam Colbon for the trip after both picked up injuries in Rovers' 54-6 Challenge Cup thrashing at the hands of St Helens last time out.
Briscoe is suffering from a wrist problem while Colbon is missing with a hamstring strain.
Teenage full-back Louis Sheriff has been brought into the squad and could replace Briscoe, while fellow youngster Jordan Cox has also been included in Justin Morgan's 19-man party alongside Sam Latus and Matt Cook, who both missed out on match-day selection against the Saints.
Huddersfield squad: Grix, Lawrence, Cudjoe, Gilmour, Hodgson, Brough, Crabtree, Robinson, Griffin, Faiumu, Raleigh, Kirmond, Patrick, Horne, McGillvary, Wood, Cording, Fairbank, Ferguson.
Hull KR squad: Sheriff, Fox, Cook, Cox, Dobson, Newton, Fisher, Galea, Green, Hodgson, Lovegrove, Latus, Murrell, Netherton, Vella, Wheeldon, Webster, Welham, Taylor.
