Huddersfield fought back from a 12-point half-time deficit to defeat play-off rivals Hull FC 32-18 at the Galpharm Stadium.
The Airlie Birds looked set to record a fifth straight Super League win thanks to tries from Jordan Turner, Willie Manu and Kirk Yeaman.
However the Giants gave themselves a late lifeline in the first half with a converted try from David Hodgson four minutes from the break.
Nathan Brown's side then dominated the second 40 minutes, registering 26 unanswered points to claim just their second victory since April.
Miserable run
For the opening 35 minutes it appeared Huddersfield's miserable run of form would go on, despite the return of England international Kevin Brown.
Hull enjoyed a perfect start when Richard Whiting collected Jordan Tansey's kick to the corner before setting up Turner for a simple score out wide.
Danny Tickle was on target with the conversion and also added the extras after Manu had forced his way over from close range.
Full-back Tansey helped the Black and Whites cross for a third time after 27 minutes, his offload setting Kirk Yeaman racing in unchallenged.
A third successful kick from Tickle, who this week signed a new long-term deal with the club, put the away side into a commanding lead.
Having struggled to get going amid the Hull onslaught, Huddersfield - without six players through injury - finally got going as an attacking force four minutes before the hooter.
Catalyst
David Hodgson's late try, which was converted by skipper Brett Hodgson, proved the catalyst for a tremendous comeback.
Brown produced a solo dash to reach the line and the scores were level on 53 minutes when winger Leroy Cudjoe clinically punished a mistake by Tansey, who spilled Danny Brough's kick near his own line.
The Giants moved ahead for the first time with a penalty from Brett Hodgson that was quickly followed up by a try from Jamahl Lolesi.
A sensational solo effort from Shaun Lunt that saw the loose forward run almost the length of the field clinched the two points for the hosts, Brett Hodgson again kicking the extras to finish with a personal haul of 12 points.
