Huddersfield scrum-half Luke Robinson is ready to put friendships to one side when he tackles former club Salford at the Galpharm Stadium on Sunday.
The 24-year-old spent three seasons at The Willows and moved to Huddersfield when they were relegated from the top flight at the end of 2007.
Fourth-placed Huddersfield have both captain Brett Hodgson and stand-off Kevin Brown available after the pair were rested during the Giants' 40-16 win over Celtic Crusaders.
Huddersfield will be without back-rower Joe Walsh after he recently agreed to join Championship side Sheffield Eagles on loan.
Speaking on the prospect of playing against his former club, Robinson told the Huddersfield Examiner: "There are quite a few of us who are really looking forward to this match.
"I've still got some very good mates at Salford, and there have been a fair few text messages flying about this week saying what's going to be happening to me. Needless to say, they've been flying back!
All clear
"Obviously, I hope Salford do well in Super League. They've got a very good chairman (John Wilkinson) and their fans have been starved of success for far too long now.
"But I'm afraid they can forget about getting any help from me or the other former Salford boys this weekend!"
Salford head coach Shaun McRae will decide whether or not to drop Dean McGilvray, who scored his first Salford try against Batley last week, for Darrell Goulding.
Goulding extended his stay with the Reds after parent club Wigan agreed to prolong his one-month loan spell at The Willows.
Jeremy Smith has been given the all-clear to return from a knee injury and McRae will decide whether he or Stefan Ratchford starts in the stand off position.
Craig Stapleton (foot) has been ruled out of Sunday's match, however McRae confirmed that Phil Leuluai will play despite picking up what he described as a 'nasty cut above the eye' during the comprehensive 66-4 win at Batley.
