Ben Jeffries looks set to make his second debut for Bradford in Sunday's clash with Hull KR at Craven Park.
The experienced scrum-half recently made a shock return to the Bulls after the Wakefield Wildcats agreed to release the Australian from his contract.
Jeffries has now signed a deal until the end of 2012 at Bradford having made 49 appearances in his first spell with the club.
His arrival will help to bolster an injury-hit squad, with Bulls coach Mick Potter currently without scrum-half Marc Herbert and stand-off Brett Kearney.
Chev Walker is also ruled out after it was confirmed he suffered a broken foot in the Carnegie Challenge Cup win over Halifax, denying the centre the chance to play against one of his former clubs.
Fellow back Michael Platt is another absentee but Potter is able to call upon the services of fit-again forwards Jamie Langley and Matt Diskin.
There are also places in Bradford's 19-man squad for second-rower Tom Olbison and centre Jason Crookes, who has been playing on a dual registration with Sheffield.
Hull KR, meanwhile, are boosted by the return of full-back Sean Briscoe after a six-match absence.
The former Wigan Warrior has been trouble by a knee injury but, along with Michael Vella, who was rested for the win away at York in the cup, is named in coach Justin Morgan's squad.
There are also places for Scott Taylor and Sam Latus, with Louis Sheriff and Jordan Cox the men to make way.
Both clubs go into the fixture outside the top eight in the Engage Super League table but did manage morale-boosting wins over lower league opposition in the Challenge Cup last time out.
