Mike Rush says he is 'emotionally and physically exhausted' after stepping down as CEO of St Helens following 27 years with the club.
Having held a multitude of roles at his hometown side, Rush has spent the past 13 years as CEO.
Rush has even been interim head coach, taking over after Royce Simmons was sacked in 2012 and winning 18 of his 25 games at the helm.

Rush has overseen some of St Helens' biggest moments, including their four Grand Finals in a row from 2019-2022 plus their 2023 World Club Challenge victory against Penrith Panthers in Australia.
The club say they have started the search for a new CEO immediately, with chairman Eamonn McManus temporarily stepping into the role.
Rush thanked St Helens for everything he had experienced over the years but said it is time to put his family first.
"This has been the hardest decision I have ever taken," Rush said in a statement.
"The club has been such a huge part of my life for nearly three decades, but I believe now is the right time to step aside."
"Life in professional sport is 24/7. It is relentless, demanding and all-consuming. After 27 years, I am both emotionally and physically exhausted. I have sacrificed a great deal over that period, as has my family, and I feel it is time to put them and myself first as I step away.
"Finally, to my amazing family and friends, thank you for 27 years of unwavering support. None of this would have been possible without you. You have carried me through the highs and the challenges, and I will always be grateful.
"This club will always hold a special place in my heart. It has shaped my life in ways I could never have imagined."
