Prop James Graham has returned to the St Helens squad for Salford's visit to the Stobart Stadium on Friday night.
The England international missed the Saints' last game against Hull KR two weeks ago with a dead leg but is back to match fitness for the clash against Salford.
St Helens also welcome back teenage winger Thomas Makinson for the contest but Jon Wilkin is unavailable through suspension.
Reserve forwards Carl Forster and Danny Jones have been called into coach Royce Simmons' 19-man squad to provide cover for injury absentees.
Simmons believes his injury problems would have been even worse had it not been for last weekend's break due to the Challenge Cup final, but he has still had to lean on youth in his selection.
"The weekend off has given us an opportunity to get some players back from injury. Had we played last week it would have been very hard to put a side on the park," he told the Saints' official website.
"Therefore, this week the side picks itself, but I am looking at it from a different angle and it will give some of the blokes an opportunity to play some good game time.
"With a lot of the senior blokes missing this week it is a great opportunity for these lads to get rewarded for their hard work and dedication. I have no doubt that they will bring all the energy in the world into the side."
Salford coach Matt Parish is set to stick with the same side that gave him his first win in charge of the Reds, a 24-18 success over Huddersfield a fortnight ago.
However, Parish does have former St Helens back rower Vinnie Anderson available for selection after he recovered from injury.
