Wakefield are set to switch Sam Obst to scrum-half in place of the suspended Danny Brough as they attempt to end a four match losing run.
The Wildcats go into this game off the back of league losses to Harlequins, Bradford and Wigan, with a defeat to the Warriors in the Carnegie Challenge Cup sandwiched in between.
As well as Obst's inclusion, prop James Stosic is returning from a three-month absence with a knee injury to replace Danny Sculthorpe.
Both Brough and Sculthorpe were suspended for seven days on Tuesday pending an internal disciplinary hearing into alleged breaches of club discipline.
Tevita Leo-Latu has recovered from a hamstring injury to take over from former Huddersfield hooker Brad Drew, who is out with a knee problem.
Huddersfield will give a debut to second rower Lee Mossop, who has joined them on loan from Super League rivals Wigan.
Andy Raleigh, Simon Finnigan and ex-Wakefield prop Darrell Griffin all return from injury to be part of coach Nathan Brown's 19-man squad.
However, full-back Brett Hodgson remains on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
Wildcats: Blaymire, Martin, Atkins, Rooney, Demetriou, Snitch, Wilkes, Grix, Obst, Stosic, Bibey, Henderson, Winternstein, Gleeson, Leo-Latu, Moore, George, Bibb, Pitts.
