Wakefield have Danny Brough available for Saturday's Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield, which is live on Sky Sports.
Scrum-half Brough suffered a cut to his head as the Wildcats saw their perfect start to 2010 come to an end at St Helens last Friday.
However the Scotland international, who is in the final year of his contract, has been cleared to play against a side that have been linked with signing him.
Paul King is also included in coach John Kear's squad and could finally be given a chance to impress since joining from Hull.
Very patient
"Paul has been very patient and has worked hard in the pre-season training programme," Kear admitted on Wakefield's official website.
"He's a quality player who is very experienced at the Super League level of the sport.
"We were able to agree to Kyle Bibb joining Harlequins on a month's loan because we had Paul available and he's the kind of player who will always figure in my thinking."
The Wildcats, who have allowed forward Kyle Bibb to join Harlequins on loan, have also named young hooker James Davey in their 19-man party.
Huddersfield make the short trip to Belle Vue without their talismanic captain Brett Hodgson.
Super League's reigning Man of Steel suffered an ankle injury in the 14-10 home loss to Warrington and is facing up to a month on the sidelines.
Leroy Cudjoe will move to full-back to try and fill the sizeable void left by Hodgson's absence, while Jamahl Lolesi is likely to return to the team on the wing after being rested last Sunday.
Graeme Horne hurt his neck against the Wolves at the Galpharm Stadium but it is hoped he will be fit to feature.
Scott Grix is also included in the 19-man squad after recovering from a dislocated finger and looks set to face his former employers.
Wakefield squad: Blaymire, Blanch, Gleeson, Millard, Jeffries, Brough, Tronc, Korkidas, Ferguson, Morrison, Demetriou, Obst, Henderson, Murphy, King, Leo-Latu, Morton, Davey, Moore.
Huddersfield squad: Cudjoe, Lolesi, Whaturia, D. Hodgson, Brown, Robinson, Crabtree, Lunt, Gilmour, Fa'alogo, Wild, Raleigh, D. Griffin, Lawrence, Faiumu, Grix, Aspinwall, Patrick, Horne.
