Wakefield coach Richard Agar is poised to name the same starting line-up that pushed Hull all the way last weekend.
It means Andy Raleigh, Danny Kirmond and Kyle Wood are all set to face their old club, while stand-off Mattie Wildie has been added to the 19-man squad.
Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown recalls utility player Tommy Lee against his former team-mates following the completion of his two-match ban.
Jacob Fairbank returns to the 19 after being rested for the 17-16 victory over St Helens with Shaun Lunt and Keith Mason standing down.
"He's been working really hard, and he's only young and played the first four games and was playing big minutes," Brown said of Fairbank's omission last week.
"In fact he was putting in more minutes in than pretty much any other player. We just felt it was a time to give him a break.
"Bobby (Fairbank) is back in the equation this week and Tommy Lee is back from suspension so we have a number of things to look at."
David Fa'alogo and Luke O'Donnell remain sidelined but are expected to be back in the running for selection towards the end of the month.
