Former New Zealand international half-back Jeremy Smith has been cleared to make his Wakefield debut against his former club.
The 29-year-old Kiwi - who can also play at hooker - joined the Wildcats from Salford on a 12-month contract in the close season, but was forced to sit out the club's pre-season friendlies and the opening two games of the Super League season as he awaited a new visa.
The game will also see debuts for loan signings prop Kyle Amor and stand-off Craig Harvey. Ben Gledhill is named in the squad after returning from a shoulder injury he sustained last year.
Ben Jeffries, Dale Morton, Matthew Blaymire and Motu Tony are all still ruled out with injuries, while it has been confirmed that Kieran Hyde has a hamstring tear that will keep him out of action for at least a week.
Josh Vievers is set to continue at full-back in the absence of Blaymire, who has a broken hand.
Salford have prop Ryan Boyle back from suspension and full-back Luke Patten will play despite suffering a badly broken nose in last week's defeat by St Helens.
The Reds are still without hooker Wayne Godwin, who remains suspended, and close-season signings Sean Gleeson, Phil Bailey and Vinnie Anderson, who are sidelined through injury.
Wildcats squad: Penny, Murphy, George, Korkidas, Rinaldi, King, Henderson, Morrison, Lee, Smith, P. Johnson, Dean, Gledhill, Mariano, Howarth, Veivers, Davey, Amor, Harvey.
Reds squad: Patten, Broughton, Henry, Nero, Gibson, Ratchford, Holdsworth, Neal, Boyle, Jewitt, Spencer, Adamson, Wild, Smith, Sneyd, Parker, Paleaaesina, Sidlow, Cashmere.
