Wakefield Wildcats have the chance to avenge their 40-26 defeat at home to Wigan in the fifth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup on Saturday.
The Wildcats went down disappointingly to their opponents at Belle Vue just a fortnight ago and then suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time this year when Bradford got the better of them at Murrayfield.
But Wakefield hooker Brad Drew, who was in the Huddersfield team that reached the final in 2006, believes his side can put things right.
Importance
"People will be saying we are in a slump - possibly we are - and it is up to us to turn it around pretty quickly," he said.
"We are our own worst enemies I think. We've had two pretty poor performances in two weeks and that's something we don't try to live by. We're pretty disappointed.
"Defensively we've been pretty poor in the last two weeks and that's across the board - everyone.
"We have to tighten up in the middle and fix up at the edges. We have to pick ourselves up.
"A lot of it has to do with our mental attitude. Individually we have to look at ourselves and make sure everyone is right. If everyone gets their game in order we generally play well as a team."
John Kear has made two changes from the squad that faced Bradford, with Ricky Bibey and Frank Winterstein replacing Sean Gleeson and Dale Ferguson.
Surprise
While Wakefield's form has dipped, the Wigan Warriors have come into form and go into Saturday's game buoyed by a superb 38-18 win over St Helens at Murrayfield.
Super League top try-scorer Shaun Ainscough, who scored four of his 13 tries in that win at Belle Vue, has been left out of the Warriors' squad, though.
Austalian hooker Mark Riddell has taken the youngster's place after missing the last two games with a leg injury.
Coach Brian Noble said: "We've had a good couple of weeks. Our form has been improving and it culminated in our win against St Helens.
"It was an indication of the way things have been going over the last five or six weeks. We happened to nail a performance and it should give the team a lot of confidence."
