Charlie Leaeno is set to make his Engage Super League debut for Wakefield Wildcats in Sunday's clash with league leaders Wigan Warriors.
The Samoan forward, signed last month, has come into contention after impressing in a reserve outing.
But, on a less positive note, stand-off Ben Jeffries is absent after aggravating a quad injury, while hooker Tevita Leo-Latu is also missing.
The nineth-placed Wildcats go into the clash looking to bounce back from a 28-22 defeat at Leeds last Friday.
Heartening signs
Wakefield coach John Kear said: "There were heartening signs against Leeds and with a little more composure we could have come away with the points.
"We need to learn from that. If we are going to beat the likes of Leeds and Wigan we must have our 'A' game throughout."
League leaders Warriors have a chance to re-establish a four-point lead over second-placed Warrington in the game.
Michael Maguire's side make the trip to the Hearwell Stadium aiming to make it five wins on the bounce in the Super League.
They are boosted by the return of prop Andy Coley from suspension, while winger Amos Roberts is also back after he missed last Sunday's 38-22 win over Castleford Tigers with tendinitis.
England trio
Also in the 19-man squad are England trio Sam Tomkins, Joel Tomkins and Sean O'Loughlin.
England take on France on Saturday and Maguire will make a late decision on whether they play on consecutive days.
The Warriors are aiming to complete the double following their 54-14 win over the Wildcats at the DW Stadium but Maguire is urging his players not to underestimate their opponents.
"They are playing some pretty good footy at the moment and we need to make sure we are on our game defensively and hopefully when we have the ball be in position to get some points," he said.
"We need each week to be at the top of our game as there is still a long way to go in this competition."
