Wakefield will welcome back skipper Glenn Morrison for their trip to second-placed side Warrington on Sunday.
Morrison been out for several weeks due to a hand injury but is now ready to make his return after being included in coach John Kear's 19-man squad.
Experienced hooker Julien Rinaldi is also set to make a comeback after missing the 40-6 defeat to Crusaders last time out with a wrist injury.
However, centre Aaron Murphy misses out with a wrist injury and could require surgery at the end of the season.
Kear looks set to give a debut to full-back Ryan Tongia with the Papua New Guinea international bidding to earn a deal for next season.
Warrington expect to have David Solomona back in their pack after he recovered from a knee injury suffered against Wigan three weeks ago.
But Lee Briers will remain sidelined with a calf problem and veteran prop Adrian Morley remains out with a head injury.
Despite Wakefield being on a run of six straight defeats, Wolves coach Tony Smith is expecting his side to be tested at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
"Wakefield weren't pleased with their last performance so I think they will try and hit back pretty hard which is also good for us," he told the Warrington official website.
"At this position in the season, we would rather have them coming in good form and make us earn our position in the competition."
Warrington squad: Anderson, Atkins, Blythe, Bridge, Carvell, Clarke, Cooper, Evans, Grix, Harrison, Hodgson, King, McCarthy, J. Monaghan, M. Monaghan, Myler, Solomona, Westwood, Wood.
Wakefield squad: Korkidas, Rinaldi, Henderson, Morrison, Lee, Tony, Smith, P. Johnson, Dean, Morton, Gledhill, Mariano, Howarth, Veivers, Wildie, Amor, Tadulala, Masselot, Tongia.
