Wigan prop Stuart Fielden is set to make only his second appearance of the season when the Warriors host Wakefield on Friday.
The 31-year-old has been out since February after undergoing surgery but is now ready to make a return for the defending champions and Super League leaders.
New signing Ben Cross, who has joined the club until the end of the season, has also been included in Michael Maguire's 19-man squad and could make his debut.
Centre George Carmont and loose forward Sean O'Loughlin come back in after they both missed the 38-6 victory over Harlequins last Saturday.
Scrum-half Thomas Leuluai and forward Ryan Hoffman, who will return to Melbourne Storm at the end of the season, have been rested for the match.
Maguire admits he now has an array of front-row options.
"It's going to be a real competitive front row,'' he said.
"We all know what Stuey did for us last year so he's a great addition at this time of the year.''
Wakefield are suffering from a lengthy injury list, with centre Luke George and full-back Matt Blaymire the latest to be forced out of action with ankle and knee injuries respectively.
Coach John Kear recalls three-quarter Josh Griffin, full-back Josh Veivers and half-back Jeremy Smith to his 19-man squad.
Young half-back Matthew Wildie is also in contention for a place in the line-up after missing out on the match-day squad last time out against St Helens.
