Defending champions Gloucester have made several changes to their starting XV for the LV= Cup clash with Sale on Saturday.
Only seven players - Tom Savage, Will James, Brett Deacon, captain Luke Narraway, Henry Trinder, Charlie Sharples and Jonny May - have retained their place from the side that lost to Sale in the league last weekend.
But while many who have been regulars so far this season are missing, all four of Gloucester's Scottish World Cup representatives are included in the squad.
Scott Lawson, Jim Hamilton, Alasdair Strokosch and Rory Lawson are all set to make their first appearances of the season after being named among the replacements.
Sale also bring back Scotland internationals in the form of flanker Richie Vernon and prop Alasdair Dickinson
Steve Diamond has also rung the changes, making seven switches for the contest, but the Sharks boss is adamant that his side will be taking the competition seriously.
"The LV= Cup is a very important competition for us and we are taking it very seriously," he said.
"It offers a quick route into the Heineken Cup and significant prize money. We know tomorrow's game will be a very big challenge for us and that Gloucester will be formidable opponents."
