Alex Lozowski was the star of the show as he guided a depleted Saracens side to a superb 28-13 triumph at Sale Sharks to move back to the top of the Aviva Premiership table.
Lozowski kicked 13 points and brilliantly set up a sensational late try for Ben Spencer at the AJ Bell Stadium, one of three scores from the champions.
Lozowski, who was a member of Eddie Jones' England training squad for the autumn internationals, booted an early penalty.
But Sale then took the lead, AJ MacGinty making the break - handing off Lozowski in the process - and after he was eventually hauled into touch, the pressure continued and Josh Beaumont barrelled over from close range.
Saracens then responded with a brilliant try, going through the phases on halfway with Schalk Burger heavily involved, carrying and offloading several times. Schalk Brits eventually supplied the scoring pass to Argentine centre Marcelo Bosch.
Lozowski added a penalty to put the visitors 13-7 up at half time.
Then a botched Sale line-out dropped into the hands of Brits, and good hands from Lozowski and Brad Barritt put Matt Gallagher over.
The respective kickers then traded three-pointers before Halani Aulika was yellow carded for Sale after aiming a punch at Jim Hamilton.
To their credit, Sale cut the deficit in the next 10 minutes via a MacGinty penalty and the Sharks were handed a further boost when Michael Rhodes was sin-binned for a high tackle.
But they could not take further advantage and Saracens completed the win with seven minutes remaining.
Once again, Lozowski was the catalyst after he brilliantly weaved his way past several defenders and off-loaded to Spencer, who was still deep in his own half but the scrum-half displayed searing pace to scorch down the right wing all the way to the try line.
