Chris Jones and Oriol Ripol come into the Sale Sharks starting XV in the only changes to the side that lost to Newcastle last Sunday.
Michael Hill and Chris Mayor are the men to make way, while flanker Jones' selection means Magnus Lund switches onto the openside.
"This is a big game for both clubs," said Sale's director of rugby Philippe Saint Andre.
"We lost on Sunday at Newcastle and have drawn a line under that game.
"I am looking for improvement all over the field on Sunday. The players know what I expect of them, now they must deliver."
Ward-Smith returns
