Sale director of rugby Kingsley Jones insists his players have the chance to put the record straight when they face Toulouse on Sunday.
The Sharks saw their qualification hopes hit hard by the defeat to Cardiff Blues - and they now only stand an outside chance of reaching the knockout stages.
Sale need a bonus point win against pool leaders Toulouse, who have already booked their place in the last eight, and then hope other results go their way.
And Jones knows that his side need to raise their games after losing in Cardiff.
"We needed to work hard this week and get back on the grass after all the snow and prepare well for what is a massive game," said Jones.
"It's an opportunity to put things straight from last week. The guys want to play for their countries in the next few weeks and it's their last chance to put their hand up in front of the International coaches.
"Also for the club; and for the supporters it's going to be a great day out, and we need to perform well and get the right result."
Dwayne Peel and David Seymour will miss the match through injury, so Richard Wigglesworth and Luke Abraham come into the side.
David Doherty, Johnny Kennedy and Martin Halsall also get the chance to shine against the French giants.
