Leeds v Sale: Teams

Leeds have named Welshman Ceiron Thomas at full-back for the visit of Sale in the Aviva Premiership.

The inclusion of Thomas is one of four changes of personnel, with Michael Stephenson switching to the wing at the expense of Semi Tadulala while Scott Mathie gets the nod at No.9.

In the pack, Kearnan Myall and Daniel Browne come in for Jon Pendlebury and Rhys Oakley respectively.

Leeds also welcome back Phil Swainston, Danny Paul and Scott Barrow on the bench.

Sale coach Mike Brewer insists he has selected a side to take on Leeds in the set-pieces.

Andrew Sheridan and Karena Wihongi will combine with stand-in skipper Neil Briggs in the forwards - while Will Cliff will start at scrum-half. Anitelea Tuilagi and Ben Cohen also return to the back division.

"Leeds Carnegie are looking for a first Premiership win to kick start their season, and we've picked a squad to compete," said Brewer.

"Leeds have a pretty consistent set piece - good scrum and lineout. Against Stade, I was quite impressed how they kept ball in hand, and made a couple of key breaks."
