Billie Jean King Cup qualifier: Emma Raducanu comes from set down to win vs France's Diane Parry

Highlights of Great Britain's Emma Raducanu against France's Diane Parry in the Billie Jean King Cup qualifier.

Emma Radacanu recovered from going a set behind to beat France's Diane Parry and secure a 3-1 victory for Great Britain in their Billie Jean King Cup qualifier, winning 4-6 6-1 7-6 (7-1).

A break up in the decider, Raducanu failed to take two match points as her opponent broke back in an entertaining clash, with the third set eventually going to a tie-break.

Britain's Raducanu dominated the shootout, streaking out to 6-1 and match point, which she duly took.

"Being a set down, I was backed up against a wall and I didn't want to go to the doubles because they're a very strong doubles team," Raducanu said.

"Boults [Katie Boulter] helped us go 2-1 up and [we had] the support on the bench to help us go out again.

"It's a massive shout-out - it is not just me out there."

Anne Keothavong's team were big underdogs ahead of the qualifier on clay in Le Portel and had lost to the same opponents in Coventry last year, but entered day two level at 1-1 after Raducanu's impressive three-set victory over Caroline Garcia on Friday.

It opened the door for former US Open champion Raducanu to send Britain through to the Finals later this year in Seville, but she was pushed all the way by Parry in a pulsating contest that lasted two hours and 52 minutes.

Parry won the first set but Raducanu, back in the team for the first time in two years following an injury-hit 2023, fought back to clinch a tremendous 4-6 6-1 7-6 (7-1) victory that not only sends her country through to the November Finals, but serves notice to her rivals ahead of the clay-court season.
