The world number four was hampered by the problem during his three-set semi-final defeat to Rafael Nadal at the Monte Carlo Masters on Saturday. He originally stated that he could have the injury looked at on Sunday, but has been given extra time due to a first-round bye in Barcelona. Murray is unlikely to be in action until Wednesday, when he is set to face either Juan Carlos Ferrero or Xavier Malisse in the second round of the clay-court tournament. "I've seen the doctor here and been getting a lot of treatment from my physio the last few days, and I don't think it's anything serious," he said on Monday. "Whether or not I'll be able to play this week, I'm not sure. I haven't hit any balls since Monte Carlo but I'm going to practise in the morning and see how it is, and then I'll make a decision after that." He went into the Monte Carlo Masters on a run of four straight losses but got back to somewhere near his best form with an impressive run to the last four. The British number one first felt the injury during his quarter-final victory over Frederico Gil and needed an injection before the clash with Nadal.
