Australian Open debut for home nation's youngster

Australian Greg Jones has been awarded the final men's wildcard for next week's Australian Open. The 22-year-old is currently ranked 198th in the world, making him the host nation's fourth-best player. Jones won the silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games but he has yet to win a match on the ATP World Tour. It will be his debut in the main draw at Melbourne Park. Two more women's wildcards are still to be announced before the tournament gets under way on Monday.
