Dominic Thiem discusses power plays after Pablo Carreno Busta win

Dominic Thiem said he has to use powerful strokes otherwise he's likely to make more mistakes

Go full power or hold back a bit? Dominic Thiem visited the Sky Pad after his win over Pablo Carreno Busta on Wednesday to talk through his tactics.

The Austrian won 6-3 3-6 6-4 against the world No 10 to maintain his hopes of reaching the last four of the ATP Finals.

And he analysed his performance at the Sky Pad with Leif Shiras.

Thiem discussed the match, his preferred shots and how he needs to hit with full power.

"My strokes are safer when I hit full power," he said. "They are unsafe when I hold back, it's more that I force myself to go full power all the time."

Thiem also had a go on the Sky Pad predicting which way he went with a winner.
