Asamoah Gyan has agreed terms with United Arab Emirates side Al-Ahli, according to Sky Sources.
The 30-year-old has agreed a one-year loan deal with the UAE Football League title holders, and will officially sign after undergoing a medical.
Gyan was made available for loan by Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG, and he had held talks with Fulham and Reading.
But the former Sunderland striker is now set to play for the second time in the UAE - as he previously joined Al Ain in 2012, following a two-year spell at the Stadium of Light.
Gyan is one of the highest paid players in the world, on a reported £227,000 a week.
