Former Newcastle defender Steven Taylor has signed for Ipswich, the Sky Bet Championship club have announced.
The 31-year-old, who left the Magpies last summer, has been playing in Major League Soccer with the Portland Timbers.
He impressed Town manager Mick McCarthy during his time training with the club.
Ipswich wrote on Twitter: "Town are delighted to announce that Steven Taylor has officially signed his deal at the club, subject to international clearance."
McCarthy last week declared his intention to sign Taylor on a deal until the end of the season.
