Peter Crouch will have a medical at Burnley on Deadline Day with Sam Vokes heading in the opposite direction to Stoke, Sky sources understand.
Sky Sports News reported on Wednesday former England international Crouch could be involved in a part-exchange deal that could see Burnley striker Vokes move to the Potters.
Crouch, who counts QPR, Tottenham, Southampton and Liverpool among his former clubs, celebrated his 38th birthday on Wednesday.
Wales international Vokes, who joined Burnley from Wolves in 2012, is understood to be heading to Stoke to hold discussions with the club about a £7m move plus add-ons.
Crouch would be joining Burnley on a free contract.
Stoke are keen to add to their attacking options and see Vokes as an ideal candidate who could perform for them in the Championship and subsequently the Premier League if they win promotion.
Nathan Jones' side are currently 15th in the table, eight points off the play-off places.
Stoke are also understood to be willing to listen to offers for former Barcelona forward Bojan.
