Striker George Barker has returned to Swindon from his loan spell at Tranmere Rovers.
The 23-year-old, signed by Rob Edwards before his sacking by Rovers, made four appearances for the League Two side but new boss Micky Adams has decided to send him back early.
"They've told us that they're going to send him back now because it's the FA Cup next week and Micky (Adams) wants to use his own players," Swindon boss Mark Cooper told the Swindon Advertiser.
"George is back with us but obviously he won't be available because he's still officially on loan until next week.
"I think he played one game (at Tranmere) then the manager changed and the ethos changed so it's difficult for him. He's a good kid and we'll see how he goes."
