Jockey James Davies escaped serious injury after his fall on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival.

The rider was disputing a close third when he parted company with the Henry Oliver-trained Dresden four out in the A.P. McCoy Grand Annual Handicap Chase, the last race of the meeting.

He was taken to hospital but was not required to stay in overnight.

Oliver said: "He's a bit bruised but he went home last night.
