Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs clashed at their Vegas weigh-in after the head to head got too physical

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs had to be pulled apart during their weigh-in for their middleweight unification clash.

'Canelo' will put his WBA 'Super' and WBC belts on the line against IBF champion Jacobs at the T-Mobile Arena in the early hours of Sunday morning, live on Sky Sports.

Jacobs (35-2 29 KOs) was bang on the middleweight limit at 160lbs, while Mexican superstar Canelo tipped the scales at 159.5lbs.

After the pair weighed-in tempers boiled over during the face to face when both fighters pushed their foreheads together.

Canelo shoved Jacobs and the pair had to be pulled apart while they angrily shouted at each other.

Eddie Hearn did not expect Canelo to react so angrily when the head to head with Jacobs boiled over

"Emotions are flying high. I ain't never backed down a challenge in my life," said Jacobs, who was flanked by his son.

"Everything that I do is for my family. Everything I do is for Brooklyn and for the culture.

However, Canelo countered: "That was fear right there, what he did."

John Ryder looked in great shape on the scales in Vegas ahead of his fight against Bilal Akkawy

John Ryder and Bilal Akkawy both weighed in at 167.5lbs ahead of their WBA interim super-middleweight title clash on the undercard.

"It's great event, a great occasion. I'm really relishing the chance of fighting for the WBA title on this show," said Londoner Ryder.

"He looks in great shape, he looks ready to fight and should be prepared for a war."
