Getting AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli out can prove a tough task - but not, it seems, for Shreyas Gopal, who dismissed them from successive balls amid an IPL hat-trick in Bengaluru!

The Rajasthan Royals leg-spinner had Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Kohli caught by England's Liam Livingstone for 25 on Tuesday and then had De Villiers pouched at cover next ball for 10.

Gopal completed his hat-trick one delivery later when Marcus Stoinis picked out his fellow Australian Steve Smith at mid-off to go for a golden duck in a game reduced to five overs a side following rain.

Gopal also dismissed Kohli and De Villiers during the reverse fixture in Jaipur - castling the Indian and catching the South African off his own bowling.

Kohli and De Villiers helped RCB rack up 35 after 1.3 overs on Tuesday before the home side posted 62-7 from their five overs at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Sanju Samson (28 off 13) and Livingstone (11no off seven) thrashed Rajasthan to 41-1 from 3.2 overs but moments after Samson was dismissed, the rain returned, causing the game to be called off.

Both sides picked up a point apiece but that was not enough for RCB, who now cannot qualify for the play-offs.
