British snowboarder Katie Ormerod will compete at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, despite suffering a fractured wrist in training.

The 20-year-old, one of Team GB's leading medal hopes in South Korea, revealed on social media she sustained the injury when she came off the rail at the slopestyle course.

Ormerod, who is competing in both the slopestyle and big air events at her first games, is confident she will be ready for the slopestyle qualification on Sunday, ahead of Monday's final.

She wrote on Twitter: "First training day and the course is awesome. Unfortunately I slipped off a rail and have a minor fracture to my wrist.

'I'm totally fine and looking forward to continuing to train and getting ready to compete on Sunday. Can't wait."
