Annamix, one of Willie Mullins' exciting French recruits, is out for the season.

The four-year-old gelding, who had been ante-post favourite for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham before he had even made his debut for the Mullins team, has damaged his pelvis.

"He was probably the pick of our novice team," owner Rich Ricci told At The Races.

"Unfortunately, he was lame after work on Saturday and we had him looked at on Monday and he has got a pelvis injury.

"He's only four. The prognosis is excellent, but he will be out for the season which is devastating for us and for the yard.

"I want to be as transparent as I can be and unfortunately Annamix will not be running this season.

"We only learned about it on Monday afternoon an I wanted to tell punters as we knew. It's unfortunate but these things happen.
