Knee injury sidelines Tom Scudamore after Huntingdon fall

Tom Scudamore is facing a spell on the sidelines, just as the jumps season is hotting up, after suffering ligament damage to his knee in a fall at Huntingdon on Tuesday.
Scans taken on Wednesday revealed the frustrating news.
Scudamore, stable jockey to top trainer David Pipe, sustained the injury when his mount, Impulsive American, fell two flights from home in the 32Red Casino Handicap Hurdle.
"I had scans taken at hospital on Wednesday and they found I've got a bit of ligament damage in my knee so it's going to be a bit longer than I was hoping," he said.
"How long it's going to be, I'm not sure, but I'll try to be back as soon as I can.
"I shall rest my knee for the first few days and then get some physio on it. It just depends how quickly it can heal. Hopefully it's not going to be too long. At least there's nothing broken."
