Wincanton and Ffos Las off due to waterlogging

Weekend fixtures at Wincanton and Ffos Las have both fallen to the ongoing wet weather.
With parts of the track at Wincanton saturated, leading to some false patches of ground, officials at the Somerset moved swiftly to draw stumps.
A further 10mm of overnight rain left the situation untenable when the track was inspected on Thursday afternoon.
A tweet from the racecourse account said that the weather forecast offered "no opportunity for the track to improve sufficiently for racing".
The meeting at Ffos Las on Sunday has failed an inspection on Thursday afternoon and wasl also abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
Course officials were unable to lift spirits when they assessed conditions after a further 25mm of rain fell overnight.
