Luke Morris is free to ride on All-Weather Championships Finals Day on Good Friday after a British Horseracing Authority disciplinary panel quashed a five-day suspension he received at Lingfield on March 5.

Morris was found guilty of continuing to ride Apache Glory "when it was contrary to the mare's welfare to do so".

The horse finished last in the Coral Handicap but Morris eased his mount around four furlongs from home when he acknowledged there was a problem which was materially affecting her performance.

The Lingfield stewards interviewed Morris and the veterinary officer who said that "on first examination the mare had appeared distressed, but following a further examination, she was found to be lame behind".
