Danny Tudhope appears to have escaped serious injury after a nasty fall at York on Thursday.
The highly-rated jockey was taken to York District Hospital for precautionary checks when he parted company with the fatally-injured Areen in the Westow Stakes.
Tudhope said the fall had not left significant damage.
He posted on Twitter: "Thankfully I'm OK no broken bones just very sore and bruised this morning. Thanks to all the doctors/nurses that looked after me. RIP Areen!"
Tudhope's agent Laura Way said her client would not be in action until next week at the earliest.
