Sangster family retire former Golden Jubilee Stakes winner

The new owners of Soldier's Tale have decided to retire the seven-year-old and put him out to stud in Australia. The Sangster family are set to begin quarantine procedures after Soldier's Tale was pulled out of last Saturday's Golden Jubilee Stakes. It is 12 months since Soldier's Tale last race, winning the Golden Jubilee Stakes - and although trainer Jeremy Noseda had hoped to run him at the July Cup, he will now head to the Sangster family's Swettenham Stud at Nagambie in Victoria. Adam Sangster told The Age in Australia: "He had a bit of a virus and that forced us to miss his run at Royal Ascot. "With the firm ground around at the moment, we decided to end on a winning note."
